Oh My Soul!

Have you watched the news lately? Or read the paper? Or, as in my case, caught up on the news via the Internet? I have CNN bookmarked and read the headlines daily, usually. I am amazed at what is happening in this world! And NOT in a good way! I think that I am most troubled by the incest family in Austria. I mean, in my opinion, what kind of person can kidnap their daughter, rape her repeatedly causing her to have seven children, pretend they are a happy family, all while in a cellar below his home with his wife? I am not joking. If you are unfamiliar with the story, click here for what is going on.
Then, I read in the paper that a grown child was looking for pizza in her mother's freezer and found not one, not two, but three infant bodies! This was in Germany. The woman was 44 years old and she hid the pregnancies for her family. It is thought that she hid the babies in the 1980's! Here is that story.
Then, there is a massive cyclone in Myanmar, and the government won't let in foreign aid. People are going to die from diseases that could have been stopped by letting aid into the country!
I just don't understand why this is happening. I mean, I get that this world is a horrible place. As a believer in Jesus Christ, this is the only hell I will ever know. I can't even begin to, nor do I want to, imagine what hell is really going to be like.
I have heard a new song by David Crowder Band, called Never Let Go. There is a cool video on you tube that is set to the song. Check it out!
I am so thankful that Jesus never lets go of us. He died for me, for you, for all of us while we were still stuck in the thickness of sin. For those who believe in Him, they will be saved and are held in Jesus' hand and He never lets go!

LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this song. And the pictures and bible verses that accompanied it just made it even more powerful. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the call friend. I hope you had a Happy Mother's Day as well. Mine started out a little rough, but ended well. Does Baby Gilby have a name yet, I haven't heard anything? And I think that family incest story is beyond disgusting. How could a father do that? I mean, I know its sin, but really, I'll take a major lack of common sense and compassion for 800 Alex!

Hey Nan,

I love the song too- we sing it at church and it is a good reminder of God's grip on us. Matt Redman sings it tool Love it! It reminds me of the verse in "This is My Father's World" that I listend to today- This is my Father's World, O let me ne'er forget. That though the wrong seems oft so strong, HE IS THE RULER YET!!!
