Need A Laugh?

Thought I would share a couple of funny things this dreary Labor Day morning. My boys are still in bed. Guessing they need their sleep, but we are still having school this morning, apparently a little later than planned!




First, for all you Twilight fans out there, I saw a bumper sticker on a car the other day. Here it is:

This cracked me up for some reason. Perhaps it should really scare me, but since the car was parked, I wasn't too concerned:)



Second, we let the boys watch Star Wars (Episodes 4 - 6) about a week ago and they are totally into it now. To quote Jacob, with light saber in hand..."I'm Obi Two Kenobi." Now I am sure that every kid makes that statement, it just makes sense to them. But when it is your own saying it...hysterical!

Jacob's First Day of School

Jacob started school today, officially. I got one of those giant curriculum books and mapped out what to do each day. It isn't anything "major", but it is getting him used to the whole homeschooling thing. Today he worked on coloring things that are red, drawing lines from left to right and writing a big "A". He did really well. My biggest issue is going to be figuring out what makes Jacob tick or learn best or motivates him.

All in all, I was very pleased. Hopefully, the excitement will continue...

Jonathan: How many planets are there? 7?
Me: No, there are 8.
Jonathan: What does Pluto make?
Me: Pluto would make 9, but it isn't a planet anymore.
Jonathan: Why isn't Pluto a planet?
Jacob: Because Pluto is a dog!!!!

Time. Must.Stop. Now!

My youngest had sweaty arm pits last night. I noticed them as I was getting him ready for bed. Manly Man noticed them when he snuggled him through the thunderstorm last night. He smelled like a sweaty man! Well, time is flying by way too fast! Too. Fast! Both, not just one, but both of my boys are wearing Manly Man's deodorant. They are so proud. I just want time to stop! Can't they be my babies forever?

Funny Things I Heard

Just a few funnies I heard over the past few days, while the computer was, umm, dead as a door nail.

Me: Jacob, you need to have a happy heart before we can go.
Jacob: Fappy Fart.
...........
Jonathan: (in a very "upset" tone, with feet stomping) The potty is all out of flusher!
Me and Manly Man: (falling out of chair laughing, having nothing to say!)
...........
Manly Man: I think I like my new bloggy name..."Manly Man"....yep sounds good!
Me: Glad you like it, I thought it worked well!
Manly Man: If I had a blog I would call you Wifely Wife. No, no, no. I would call you "Nanly Nan"!!!!!
Me: (falling off the couch laughing, again, having nothing to say!)
